James Suckling: 91 Points
A relatively small, family owned Château of 5 hectares, located on the right bank of the Gironde river.
Ch. de Passedieu is relatively small, with 5 hectares of vineyards in the Cotes de Bourg region of Bordeaux, an area which is rapidly gaining a reputation for great value wines. This wine is Merlot dominated, with succulent ripe black fruit flavours, and an impressive concentration and complexity. Would go well with a rib of beef, duck, casseroles, and hard cheeses.
