Château Magnan La Gaffelière is the sister property of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé Clos La Madeleine, enjoying the same attentive approach in the vineyard and cellar. The terroir combines veins of clay with sandier foothill parcels, producing a wine that is delicate, fragrant and generous. 70% Merlot with 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, colour is mid ruby, aromas being perfumed, combining sweet red berries and dried rose petals with secondary notes of meat and leather. Palate starts gently, opening out silkily in the mouth, having excellent concentration of flavour. This has a beautiful, elegant texture, with a charming middle and a supple, fresh finish.
